It's finally starting to feel like Fall.
Fall has always been our favorite season. We put on our first hoodies this week. We had a few bond fires, cleaned gutters, got some pumpkins and played video games. The Germans have a word, Geborgenheit, that means the tranquil cozy feeling you get when you're indoors during a cold rainy day. So, this cool Fall rain outside right now has put us in the frame of mind that reminds us of why this is our favorite time of year.
The Van's in the shop for a checkup before we get back on the road this week! We're looking forward to shaking the rust out in Valdosta, GA this weekend. We can't wait to see you! Click HERE for details. If you can't make it check out the rest of the places we'll be this Fall at www.roshambeauxmusic.com/tour-dates

But enough about work...
Last week we told you we'd tell you what we think about Nintendo's remake of one of our all time favorite video games "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening."
We're always a little nervous playing remakes because of the huge potential companies have to completely destroy your childhood. We're happy to say that this game is a nostalgic storm of awesomeness! Link's Awakening DX blew our minds as kids in 1998 on Game Boy Color: a non back-lit, AA battery powered, 160x1440 pixel hand held gaming device. Nintendo has successfully recreated our childhood experience with updated graphics and a few quality of life updates with modern controls. The controls of the Switch get rid of a lot of the tedious back and forth from menu screens for more fluid game play. This is definitely not a re-imagining of Link's Awakening but a successful remake. If you've been thinking about picking it up we DEFINITELY recommend it.
Legends of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (1998, Game Boy Color)
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (2019, Switch)
Be sure to comment below if you've had a chance to play either game or where you're planning on seeing us this Fall. See you soon!
