Sometimes dealing with self doubt is overwhelming but our fans consistently remind us why we make music.
We've gotten to play some amazing shows this summer! Opening up for Afroman was a HUGE check off the bucket list. Kyle had to loan him some guitars picks, lol. Summer had sky high ups and valley lows from shows with a few thousand people screaming lyrics back at you to shows just for bartenders and their boyfriends. Shows like the latter can cast a nasty shadow over your sense of self value. Fortunately, we've been blessed by awesome fans that support the hell out us. You remind us that music is supposed to be made for people. We feel overwhelming gratitude that you've helped us make a career doing it. We're glad that we've gotten to meet new people and see familiar faces. Thank you guys for showing up this summer! It means more than you know.
While we're taking a break from the road for a few weeks, we're excited about creating new things. We're finishing the mastering, the final steps before releasing our new single, "Eyes Closed Shut," a song about fixation, independence and overcoming self-doubt. You can watch the trailer HERE. We have a full length video in the works. We can't wait! We'll let you know when it's ready.
We're kicking off our first night off the road with Crystal Head Vodka (Dan Akroyd's project). It's been hyped a lot but the Peaches and Cream sweet corn does notably make for a sweeter vodka. At $50-60 a liter it's a little pricey for what it is but it's definitely worth trying if you're a vodka drinker. It's like a sweet Tito's, best with citrus juice or straight up. If you don't want to shell out the cash just to try it most liquor stores sell a 50ml bottle for $8-10. Cheers!
