What's Up With J...
What an amazing time we had this past weekend at Oyster fest in Atlanta. I have to admit I was pretty nervous leading up to it. It's been a couple years (due to the pandemic) I've played in front of that many people. I'm so grateful things are getting back and am looking forward to the other events we have coming up this year. Just seeing all of you again out in the crowd smiling, singing along, having a good time and dancing with us is a true blessing. I can't wait to do it again. On a side note; I'm getting pretty close to finishing the new cover for Patreon. Kyle is supposed to be sending me some of the final guitar tracks later today and I'm finishing up on the mix of everything else as I'm writing this. When I saw this request come in it took me straight back to my teenage years. I can't wait to show you all what we've done with this one. We should be on schedule to shoot the video for it at the beginning of next week. Hope you all are having an amazing week. With what's going on in the world let it be a reminder of gratitude. Hug your loved ones, hold them tight and remember not to take this life for granted. My heart goes out to those in war torn areas and I hope that one day we can be above wars and death due to squabbles between rich men in suits. It's sad we aren't there yet. But I hold out hope that one day we will be. As always...to anyone who reads this I love you very much.

What's Up With Kyle...
It was so much fun playing Oysterfest in Atlanta last weekend! A friend asked me if I still get nervous performing in front of a big crowd. I absolutely do and don't think I'll ever get over it.
I've learned over the years that being nervous and being excited gives you the same feeling in your gut. I have to tell myself, "You're not nervous, you're just excited." It seems to work! I remember, not that long ago, it being a struggle to make eye contact with people from stage when I was feeling nervous. It felt like staring at a stranger a little too long at the grocery store. I'd have a little implosion, mess up a few lines or riffs and wonder why it felt like I lost my connection with the people in front of me. It's funny, seeing it written down now. Of course you lose connection when you shut people out. I've come to realize that music gets rid of that awkward stage almost pretty quickly if you let it. We're all getting to know each other but music is a commonality we share whether we playing or listening.
This week I'm working on finishing my tracks for this month's cover request on Patreon. I'm REALLY excited about this one. The first time I heard this song I immediately texted J and said we should cover it one day. I'm really glad y'all put this one in! I'm also putting some of my carpentry skills to the test building a custom case for the new guitar floor rig. I've been posting a few progress picks on Patreon and I think it's gonna be awesome! I'm so grateful for y'all. A lot of musicians called it quits over the past couple of years but I'm glad you haven't let me. Y'all are the best!
